I first met Teddy and Jess years ago when I started attending TNG youth service where Jess sang and Teddy played sax on the worship team. They are both very warm and enthusiastic people who love music; it’s no wonder they ended up together! The reception was held in their youth group building, the very place where they had spent so much time growing as friends. Afterward, I captured the beautiful moments between them where their future lies, with their coffeeshop in downtown Westfield.
I had the opportunity to second shoot this beautiful barnyard wedding out in the Berkshires with Aleksandr Verbetsky. I did some freelensing, flying of a drone, and laugh pretty much all day. Once you see the photos you'll understand why.
The reception ended and when we looked outside it was dark skies and rain. We were planning on driving out far to a location for the after reception photos but in the spur of the moment we decided on something closer. The rain stopped and we took some awesome photos and we still managed to get wet.
Back in 2013 I was a junior in high school and I managed to shoot my first wedding. After that I vowed I would never shoot a wedding again. Not the greatest experience. It wasn't until the summer of 2016 that Ivan and Tanya asked me to shoot their engagement. Well, I had such a great time that I was more than happy to shoot their wedding.
